Massively multiplayer online role playing games (MMORPGs, for short) have been popular for years. While it looks like 2015 is the year that will unseat them in terms of revenue, they're still really fun to play.
And there are a lot on the Mac, as evidenced by this list. MMORPGs, or MMOs for short, enable dozens, hundreds or sometimes thousands of players to play in the same universe, together. While you may be off doing quests that various non-player characters (NPCs) controlled by the game have given you, you can sometimes combat directly with other players, or enlist other players' help to complete missions, explore dungeons or join a guild where all of you share in experience and loot. MMOs are enormously popular, and have been for a number of years. The Mac doesn't have parity with the PC when it comes to games, obviously, but there are still a lot of Mac MMOs you can play.

Monday -. Wednesday. So I've read a million articles labeled 'top ten MMOs for MAC' as well as just the list of all the MMOs for MAC. What I'm really looking for is just this subreddits' opinion on their favorite games for the MAC and why.
It doesn't matter if it's because it's the best PVP, PVE, or whatever. I'm just curious. I've been doing the bootcamp setup for a while now, but I really hate being on the Windows side of things.
I would love to find something that runs on OSX that I'd enjoy playing. Thanks in advanced for anyone who comments! I genuinely really love Guild Wars 2, but unfortunately the Mac port is absolutely horrendous and this isn't likely to improve any time soon. Try it, because it may run well on your hardware, but in my experience it just doesn't want to run well. For example, the launcher won't even open if you have multiple displays due to a long standing bug.
Framerates feel like they're generated by a random number generator. With that said, it runs reasonably well on my 15' MacBook Pro so your mileage may vary. Definitely try Guild Wars 2 - it's one of my favourite MMOs right now -, but I strongly recommend you run it in Bootcamp.
